SCHEDULE A STUDY

To get started with an Instrument Design Lab (IDL) session, please contact Jennifer Bracken, IDC Manager, by email or by phone (301-286-5127) to request support. The information you provide to the IDC Manager will:

  • Help us determine how the IDL can best serve your needs
  • Identify the type and scope of support you require
  • Define the time frame in which you need to complete the requested support.

The IDC Manager will begin the process of determining how and when the Instrument Design Lab can assist you. A planning meeting will be scheduled to discuss your request with the Instrument Design Lab Team Lead. You can expect a decision on your request within three working days.

Upon approval of your request for support, Tammy Brown, the IDL Lab Lead, will contact you and determine a specific study schedule for your instrument. The schedule will include dates for prework meetings, the actual dates of your study, a date for a final presentation, and dates for postwork meetings (if required).

You are strongly encouraged to complete a prework form that summarizes your current measurement requirements and/or instrument design and prioritizes your study objectives. A member of the IDC Support Team will contact you and provide the required information for access to the Prework questionnaire. If you encounter an error while entering data into the questionnaire, please email our support staff and they will assist you.
